We have been doing lots of fun and exciting experiments during our MAPPEN Science Inquiry unit. We have been making predictions about what we think will happen and then writing about what we have observed.

We tested raisins in tap water and soda water to see what would happen. They sunk to the bottom of our cup in tap water, but did you know that raisins can dance in soda water!? They float to the top, then sink to the bottom, float back to the top and keep repeating this!

We combined flour, salt, oil, water and jelly crystals to make our own playdough. The students enjoyed mixing these and getting to take some home.

We also made volcano eruptions using vinegar, dishwashing liquid and bicarb soda. This was lots of fun seeing the mixture bubble over!
